Feature · Beta
Every passing build lands on a Steam beta branch by itself, so your testers always have the latest one. No steamcmd, no upload scripts, and nothing reaches players until you say so.
Builds go to a beta branch you choose. Steam never lets an upload go live on the default branch, so shipping to players is always your call.
Log in once with steamcmd on your own computer and hand Unreal Cloud the login file. We never see your password, and the file is stored encrypted.
Windows builds go to your Windows depot, Linux builds to your Linux one, each on the branch you pick.
The build page links straight to the new Steam build, and your Slack or Discord message says whether the upload worked. A failed upload never fails the build.
No. Uploads only go to a beta branch, and Steam never lets an upload set the default branch live. You set a build live yourself in Steamworks.
About 6 months. Unreal Cloud shows the date to reconnect by, and admins get an email 14 days before it.
Yes. It runs as part of the build, so its time counts toward build minutes.
